Okay, so recently someone on Ao3 asked if I could rec them any Axel/Roxas fic, and I realized that while I do have a lot of recs out there, they are 1: not in one place and 2: don't contain all the recs I could really give. So! I'mma make a reclist all in one place here that way you guys (and I!) can have a place to access it. So without further ado!

So remember my 2012 scrapbook? Yeah, so even though there are parts of it that I've failed at updating, it got too big. SO, July through hopefully the rest of this year will be here, and everything else will be back at the original.

As a reminder---  Italicized titles = enjoyed muchly, bold titles = love, titles with an asterisk = OBSESSION and titles in brackets are re-watches/re-reads. And lastly, strikethough = DISLIKE. Adding a video game, personal writing, and a fanvid section. Since it takes me months to finish a game, I'm going to include the gameplay time along with which games I've played that month. Only current goal is to read at the very least ten new books this year, and finish at least two of my video games.

Okay, so change of plans in regards to the khbigbang. Serial killer AU is still a go, but remember when I mentioned how I wanted to write a siren AU? Yeah, so I'm thinking about merging those two ideas and making this a giant clusterfuck of creepy mythological worlds where monsters are real, the world is exactly like ours, but with aspects of greek/mayan/aztec/egyptian whatever mythology mixed in. Minotaurs are real, domesticated into what amounts to guard dogs, etc. etc. So sirens are status symbols among the rich and powerful, because it was considered a way of proving your worth if you captured one and kept it as some form of 'pet'.

They aren't loyal to you, they're still deadly as all hell, and since they can walk on land if they like, you have to keep them caged in what amounts to a giant aquarium thing. A lot of this is inspired by this picture because the holding cell or whatever relates to this as far as size and atmosphere go. And I'm not even going to pretend that fuzzy_paint didn't have some part in this, because her gorgeous TSN Siren AU will always be the main reason that I love siren!fic as much as I do. I mean, I'm a geek for shark week, and all that, but creepy sirens are my biggest weakness.

As far as the sirens themselves go, kind of like this. They have three rows of serrated shark-like teeth, and the particular breed that Roxas is would have something like a fin-blade along their forearms, plus venomous spines along the base of their spine.

Creepy sirens with membranes across their eyes, deadly, etc. etc. memo to me: rewatch all of shark week, because you want these more based off of sharks than giant dolphins. ANYHOW. Axel is some kind of minor creature, probably a half-something or another, whether it be some kind of demon or something else, but I know I don't want him completely human, just mostly. He's some lowly grunt of the rich guy who 'owns' Roxas. I think I want him as an assassin or something like, bodyguard + the help, etc. But he starts forming a weird friendship with Roxas through the glass of his prison, and eventually they escape and Roxas gets to the ocean, whatever whatever. They start going after the rich and powerful, because Axel likes to play with fire and Roxas likes the assholes because IDEK, they're crunchier or something.

...Do I sound crazy yet? I mean, writing siren fic in celebration of summer is all fair and well, but I'm feeling this world a lot more than I was the generic serial killer AU where my biggest plot device was that Axel is a math geek and ties imaginary numbers with the typical Kingdom Hearts canon of certain people having no hearts, so Axel kills only the people he consider to be 'imaginary' or not having hearts. Or something regarding the Fibonacci Sequence. But um. Yeah. Anyone wanna talk this over with me? Because the amount of world building that's gonna have to go into this fic is ridiculous.

Day 28 - A pairing that you will never understand?



Yes, it's cute. Yes, I've read it. Yes, I've liked it when I've read it. But get it? NEVER. But then again, I'm rather partial to both Xigbar/Demyx and Demyx/Saix and Demyx being kind of slutty because there was this one Demyx/everyone prompt on springkink a couple years yet that was I'm not a slut, water just likes to flow.

So yes. I still don't get why it's such a big pairing though. At least Saix/Demyx I get, I mean, hell, who can resist shipping 69. shot

Day 29 - What ship had the best proposal?



LET'S GET MARRIED MARRIED MARRIED MARRIED~ Yeah IDEK, None of my ships ever get married cause usually they're BOOOOOOOOYS. Or GIIIIIIIIIRLS. Um, I dunno? Monica and Chandler? The episode where Spike and Buffy almost get married? LOL OH GOD, yanno what. That's probably my answer.

Day 30 - Your favorite ship forever and ever and ever?



And we've come full circle. I thought about using something different. For example, I will always have Legend of Zelda. That is a fandom that will stick with me. I will still be replaying Ocarina of Time when I'm an old lady but somehow, I doubt my N64 would hold out that long. But I will never not ship this pairing. They give this whole new meaning to MFEO, I am so serious. I mean, shit, just take a gander at icon. That is CANON MATERIAL dude. CANON. I mean, sure, Axel is just trying to manhandle Roxas back to the Organization, but he is ON TOP OF HIM.

And that's it. The end of this meme, even if I did cheat a teeny tiny bit. I'm a little upset that I didn't get to prattle about some of my main ships. Sheik/Link, Mello/Matt, Kanda/Allen, Dark Link/Link, Russia/America... all sadly lacking. But oh well.

Now, I have 4.5/31 days completed because turns out I'm MOVING at the end of October and will have to post the last four days early. SO YES, productivity FTW. In other news, P3P is fucking awesome. Also, Tongues of Serpent's is pretty good. A little lacking on Tharkay and Granby, but they haven't died yet, so that's a plus. And oh god, LAURANCE STOP BEING SO SAD SRSLY. I MISS YOU HAVING ADORABLE CONVERSATIONS WITH TEMERAIRE. NOW YOU JUST SIGH A LOT.

Also. I cannot find ANY of my bras. Seriously. I had at least two backups in my top drawer in addition to the ones strewn around my room. THEY ARE ALL GONE. NOT DIRTY. GONE. RAAAAAAAAGE.
