So, it's been a hot minute since I did something like this, so bear with me.

On Ao3, I have bookmarked 111 SGA fics. Now, you can use this as a guide to things that I tend to like, or you can cut that step out and just listen to me talk about it for a bit. Or, if you're like me, who second-guesses everything when I'm writing for someone, you can listen to me talk and then get stuck reading all of my bookmarks that you haven't read yet because you want a better feel for me. Or, y'know, you just wanna read some pretty cool Mcshep fics. 

All right, so things that I like. With this particular fandom, I am really fond of AUs that still include Atlantis. Soulmate marks in canon universe, werewolves and vampires in canon universe, universes where John didn't join on when he did and got to Atlantis three years late with a cup of coffee, time travel fics in canon universe. You get it, I really like Atlantis. Other things that I like: badass Rodney, badass John, fics where one or both of them are some kind of monster, crossovers/fusions, age differences (though please, no underage), slow burns, teacher/student relationships (we're talking college here, not high school), again: fics where John or Rodney are doing something else with their life and come in to the whole Atlantis thing late and/or by accident. I like fics where John is pleasantly tipsy and Rodney is long-suffering, or the other way around. One of my absolute favorite fics that I've read for this fandom is Junk Cheap by Devildoll, which I know, does not actually meet my AU in Atlantis requirement, but there's a highly specific feeling that comes from that fic, which is the thing I really like about it. It's this slow, lazy kind of jam that just makes me happy. A Farm In Idaho touched on that feeling too.

Upon further thought, I think the feeling might be domesticity. 

And hear me out here, but I've always wanted to read a fic where everyone assumes that John Sheppard is an alpha but he's actually an omega. I don't even tend to like A/B/O AUs that much, but the idea hooked on me a few years ago and the few fics I've read that touch on A/B/O are all either way too explicit for me to properly enjoy or John is the alpha and Rodney is the omega.

Which, speaking of things I don't enjoy much...

Dislikes: I am cool with explicit fics. I will say that upfront. However, most PWPs don't do it for me. I would much rather read a fic about them getting together and not doing anything other than kissing in the end than just 1k+ of explicit content. I'm cool with it, but I want those boys to be romanced before they get there. Generic things like watersports or really any super explicit kinks aren't my thing. I have to be in a certain mood to enjoy dom/sub stuff, so probably a no on that too. I'm good for angst, but for the most part I would prefer a happy ending. While I'm usually a multi-shipper, I can't do it with SGA. My otp for this fandom is John and Rodney, and any attempt that I've made to ship either of them with other people just ends in heartache.

Some of them overlap a little, because I forgot about the first tag for a bit and then it was too late. Mostly though, I want you to have fun with whatever you write me. I apologize if this switch throws anyone off, but I've been using the same moniker since I was fourteen and to be honest, I outgrew it about six years ago. So I felt that it was time to retire my old journal and move into a new one. I'm using this moniker on quite a few other sites, which you'll see in the introduction post, but most of you know me as Heather anyway. So um, still sick. Fevers, chills, sore throat, massive pressure behind my eyeballs, the works. It's bad enough that I've had to call off since Thursday, which is uh, balls, frankly. Considering that all my money I make on the weekends. I did finally go to the doctor and um, apparently I have an ear infection? Which isn't even what I went in for, but apparently the antibiotics they gave me for the ear infection will treat the strep if I do have it. (The doctor said that she didn't think it was strep, but she didn't want to do a strep test because it would be another 30 bucks and uh.... since the visit and the amoxicillin was already a good $120... yeah.)

Good news though, my dad is apparently sending me money? And has also offered to pay for like half the down payment for whatever car I end up getting? Which is weird, but Nick told me to accept the money because in more polite terms, my family fucking owes me. Which I don't know, whatever, but I do need the money? I don't know, and now that Dad has a job again he's trying to make up for shit? Fuck if I know.

Now I'm going to go drink more green tea with honey.

Oh, I also wrote a daemon AU thingy for my Treasure Planet/KH fusion, a moment that's held in your arms. Also, a DaveKat fic themed around Blink 182's Adam's Song. So yeah, totally pawsome.

I'm gonna try this dreamwidth thing one more time. Maybe this time around I won't be annoyed with everything other than the crosspost feature.

2013 Scrapbook! I was kind of bad about updating my 2012 one, but it was a handy way of keeping track of the fic I'd written at any rate, so here it is again! Let's hope I update it more this year. It's pretty empty right now because I've yet to really write any fic or read any books or watch many movies when I'm not just putting them on as I fall asleep or play many video games and well, you get the picture. So yay!

As a reminder---  Italicized titles = enjoyed muchly, bold titles = love, titles with an asterisk = OBSESSION and titles in brackets are re-watches/re-reads. And lastly, strikethough = DISLIKE. Adding a video game, personal writing, and a fanvid section. Since it takes me months to finish a game, I'm going to include the gameplay time along with which games I've played that month. Goals are: read at the very least ten new books this year, finish two video games, and beat last years total word count of 130k.
